My buddy mailed some spikes to me. Thought I'd throw a a quick sawzalll blade creation together for light duty. It isn't pretty or robust, but I like it. I did not do anything to the blade, other than shaping (heating, cooling etc...). I cut about an inch of a tang to epoxy into the horn, and trimmed a piece of aluminum for the blade to butt up against. Just epoxy to keep it all tight...I have another horn, so if I try again, I won't use marker to draw lines in it ...

Nice... very similar to my dedicated letter opener. Mine is made from one of my wife's nice kitchen knives that I broke when abusing it by trying to pry apart a couple of frozen stakes. She won't let me touch her kitchen knives anymore.

Wife buys excess when they are on sale... normally buy and consume within a day or two, but if she finds a bargin... look out. I think there are currently 4 turkeys in the freezer.

The serrations are rather dull...it was a bimetal blade that was abused cutting through nails when I had to replace my privacy fence....i like the look, so I didn't grind them off.

Now you getting fancy. I wonder if my sawzalll blade will be on someone's desk ina few centuries.....I highly doubt it. That is a conversation piece for sure. Thank you for sharing.
