I keep a card with the direct contact info for the NFA branch in my wallet because I shoot a lot of NFA regulated firearms.

Nemesis makes a good point about knowing and having readily available a copy of the code regarding your activity. Most police don't care but some will listen and save themselves the embarrassment of a formal complaint.

This would also apply to the carry of a long gun, but that's discussed in another thread already.

An potentially better idea than a printout (which can say anything you type) is an actual published book or pamphlet. Pocket Press makes little criminal law ref books for all states, and some officers carry them as well.
