Ive seen the Stainless R1 (GI style) at my local gunshop. But I dont think it was that much. I love stainless 1911's, but I think the standard R1 looks better in blued IMHO. It has more of an old school look to it that way.

I have shot Buff7mm's Enhanced R1. They do shoot very well.

You can't compare a Glock to a 1911. Completely different platforms. Both have their pros and cons.

I really like my R1's. I have an enhanced and a limited two tone. I am thinking about getting the one with the threaded as well.

X2 I handled a sig 220 today that I liked but the 1911s give me the warm and fuzzies. I can't find anything to fit like that. Blocks have the low profile slide that helps but I just don't feel the settled in feeling.

I've been doing my MSP 7-day wait since 1/18 on a enhanced model.

I am waiting on MSP for paperwork on a FNH 9 that I ordered on 1/19. Hoping that will come anyday now. Just got the call yesterday that my Stainless Reminton 1911 R1 Enhanced with a black grip was in. Can't submit paperwork till 19th! Really looking forward to shooting that 1911. And it loooks purdy too!
