Well as you might know the COLD STEEL Master Hunter VG1- San Mai is an outstanding blade. Word around the camp fire is the Fallkniven f1 another outstanding blade was the product of copy catting. Regardless if that is true or not one thing I can say. THIS IS A FACT. the plastic sheath supplied with this work of art is the lamest excuse for a sheath. No retention what so ever. To say the truth I wish they would have shipped the blade to me with out the darn thing. I just got got my new custom sheath for it and now I am happy withthe package. excellent retention, great finish check out the pic.

they make $10 knives all the way up to in the hundreds. There Japan San Mai is amazing. and there old Carbon V steel as well. The cheaper ones are fair to good. you get a bang for your buck with them.
