It's real. There are some fans here but the gun's reliability isn't something I'd trust my life to.

I agree with JoppaJ. Good for range fun, not the best for home defense.

Hi-Points do come with a lifetime manufacturers warranty. I own a Hi Point Carbine.

I own 3, each one is in a show box w/ a 100 rounds of ammo w/ lots of plastic wrap and packing tape...I got them very cheap. Got the idea form this board, they are for SHTF times I'd used them for barter items.... if I had no other choice I guess I would use one, thankfully I have other HD/ carry options.... that being said I've fired hi-points before and have not had a problem w/ them

You should google it. After the 100 round break-in period the 9mm has been shown to very reliable. I wouldnt carry it buy I would shoot with it at the range and would have no problem using it for home defense.

That's cheaper than an Airsoft ...

Before I go having it shipped to my favorite FFL, is it on the MSP approved list ?

They are neat guns. I would like to pick one up for the range. I don't know if I would rely on it for HD. My Ruger and Glocks have that job.

The Highpoint .45 looks like the biggest boat anchor you've ever seen, short of a Desert Eagle .50AE.

I've never shot one, but people say it's like holding/shooting a power drill. Haven't heard many complaints from people who own them.
