    Shouldn't this be in the C & R section?

    I mean really, the incandescent was invented in 1879. Doesn't that make it a C & R?

I personally won't buy my lightbulbs at "The Depot". They support orange smocks. I prefer "The Lowes". I'm a cop, I look better in blue.

Stop trying to correct everything the OP and others are saying about the light bulbs unless you have worked in the industry like I have. Now let me tell you a thing or two...

    75 watt incandescents are ghey.

    60 watts are for wimps.

Real men require 3 digits of wattage, as Thomas Alva Edison intended.

Everyone who knows anything knows that wattage is not the best indicator of how good a light bulb is, the real measure of a bulb is how many lumens it puts off. Wattage is only a general guide created for the uneducated masses.

The bulbs they sell at Lowes or the Depot are crap. To get a quality bulb, you must get them from a specialty lighting store, like Burgess lighting or Annapolis lighting. Putting Lowes or Home Depot bulbs in a nice light fixture are like putting a NC Star scope on a nice AR. It might work, but it's just not right.

And any professional knows you don't use wattage or lumens to measure light output, it's all in the candlepower!!!!!
