I picked up an M14 trigger group with the Camp Perry tape on the guard. It's yellow with black printing and I can tell it's from 199?. I've Googled some and have not found anything to help me identify the year. If it's any help, there is red tape under the yellow.

    Thanks,
    Dave

They put tape on the trigger guard after its inspected for pull weight.
Not sure if you're going to find an answer unless someone happens to remember exactly what tape they used in a particular year.
This year they just put some white tape no year printed on mine
Sounds like it probably was used on multiple trips to camp perry

    Thanks, I'm sure it was.
This came from the estate of a smallbore, pistol and high power shooter who had some success at Perry. I know 1967 was white tape with blue printing, I'll post pictures later

With all the "stuff" on the internet, I was in hopes that someone knew of a page where it had been documented.

    dist1646,
that's what it looks like, I was thinking either 1993 or 1998.

I'll get pics up with the tape off the trigger guard of his NM 1911A1 (1967) and the the tape that's still on the trigger guard of the trigger group I got.

Unfortunately the condition of the 1911A1 made it necessary to remove the tape in order to address the issues

Post a picture. From my understanding, M14 parts were long out of production by the 90s. Could be a commercial made part though.
