If we ever get CC, do I need a HQL

I am one of those who does not have an HQL yet. Do you currently need a HQL to apply for a CC permit? I am not applying but am just wondering about the future.

Currently you don't need an HQL to apply for a permit.
But if you don't own a pre October 1, 2013 handgun you'll need one to buy your CCW firearm.
As for the future, who knows.

I'm in the same boat. I have pre-October 1, 2013 handguns before and no intention of getting a HQL. Complete bull. Anymore than I'll get a WQL (Worship/Speech Qualify License).

But I hope the Good and Substantial reason is ignored or removed.

Obey most of the laws; if you deem it necessary to tote, then do it. It's your life; don't fiddle with your well being. I live in Unsafe, MD and have been threatened several times, but I don't have a CCW nor do I carry, but I am prepared and have not been hurt, thus far.
