"Freelance writer, community organiser". Claims he eats meat; I suspect it's intestinal contents.

I didn't need to read any further....

    ..past the writer's picture.

"Letting the organization pretend otherwise hurts the millions of gun owners who support some form of gun control".

"David Fellerath is a freelance writer, hunter and community organizer".

Rather than being our American birthright, gun ownership should be a privilege earned after thorough examination and training, like driving a car. But in 21st-century America, arms-bearing is an inalienable right, thanks to 27 anachronistic words of a constitution ratified in an 18th-century world of slow-loading muskets.

Wow, he hits all the stereotypical progressive liberal talking points in two sentences. Impressive.

(Okay, not all of them. He forgot to think of the children, or to justify the position because possibly saving just one life is worth it.)

    OP,

So you hate the NRA? No problem support someone else: Second Amendment Foundation, Gun Owners of America, or even a local group.

    Muskets.

Then the 1A doesn't cover e-mail, TV or radio, right?

I've run across the "The 2A was written in a time of muskets therefore only muskets should be protected under 2A" many times.

My counter argument is that muskets represented parity with what was being used by the military at the time. Therefore the 2A should work likewise today, just like the 1A does with internet etc...

Carefully-crafted anti-2A rhetoric, care of WaPo. Targeted at the ignorant masses who can't be bothered with critical thinking.

It gets better. Check out his LinkedIn profile:
    - Alternative Weekly Journalism (I think that means writing a blog while unemployed)
    - Started community soccer company in January 2015
    - Published articles in Al Jazeera America, Slate, indieWIRE
    - Many jobs covering local sports and cultural events
    - BA in History from Columbia University

Yep, that there is a credentialed resume of an experienced hunter, a constitutional scholar, and an expert in foreign relations. Hell, if President Obama had a twin brother ...
