Just finished this one for an MDS member...
Similar in profile to a Helle Utvaer bushcraft knife. 1084 steel with wenge scales. Blade length ~ 4 1/4". Black G10 liners and pins that blend in to the black color of the scales. And leather sheath.

I hand file the bevels with a 12" bastard file and then hand sand the bevels and flats (it takes a while). I made a jig that holds a hardened file guide (that I got from Jantz) which allows me to file one side, flip it over and file the other side. I use an online grind angle app that determines the bevel height and angle (https://angleguide.com/a-angle-calculator.aspx). I use those results to set up my jig using a Harbor Freight digital inclinometer to measure the angle between the blade and the bastard file. Sounds more comlicated than it is. If I do it right I can get a good 0 degree scandi grind which only needs minor sharpening. Depending on the blade length doing one bevel can take about an hour per side.
