    Thanks for all the prayers and encouragement.

    Its amazing how resilient humans can be. He's a tough old dude. He always says spending his 21st birthday in korea gave him a healthy perspective on persevering through tough times.

    Huge improvement today. Thanks all for the prayers. Dad is able to swallow fluids and eat a little and the best news is he can speak as of this morning. Its a stuggle for him but such a huge relief. He joked about his rifle kicking to hard...the same 300 win mag that gave me some brutal scope eye 25 years ago...so his memory appears to be in good shape.
