How long to cash check?

My dealer sent my form 4s three weeks ago and the atf still hasn't cashed the checks. Everything I have seen, says they cash the check in 7 days or less after receiving.

I don't know if the dealer sent them certified mail or not, so I cannot be sure if they were delivered.

How much longer should I wait? What do you do in this case, call the atf and see if they received it?

Anyone have a check take longer than normal to cash?

+1, Although I've only had one take longer than a week and it was because the ATF lost my paperwork. But I have heard of others taking longer that weren't lost.

No, I still pay as I go. Just sent them another check yesterday.

My longest one was 12 days, shortest 6 days. Most were between 8 and 10 days.

wow, that took a bit.. Usually they cash the checks in about a week to 2 weeks. Just out of curiosity where did you mail your paperwork?

I sent in a money order...so I have no way of telling whether the check has been cashed.

can't you track a money order if you have the receipt? If so, give that a try

No idea, my dealer mailed it.
