How do I get started?

I want to build an AK.

I have a tapco flat.

I have the DPH Arms bending jig.

I planned on getting a Harbor Freight Press, and their Spot-Welder.

I need to know what types of parts kits are best and a vendor that supplies them. Any recommendations?

Any suggestions how to get started?

I'll be happy to volunteer my Tapco flats for bending tests. I have two that need bending and I'm willing to help out with builds.

Good luck on the parts kits; they've gotten scarce and expensive. I have three Romy Gs I am using that I've been sitting on for a couple years.

As soon as I get my press, you'd be more than welcomed to come over and bend your flat. I have a few I want to try - just to be sure I can do it.

I also gave a flat to a friend to ensure he'll want to play as well < grin >

I have one of the harbor frieght spot welders, i tried bending my own flat but i failed miserably, make me a decent offer on the spot welder.
