    Back in MD sadly
I was wondering if anybody has heard about it. With all the praise that Browning gets (designer/company) I wonder what people think of this handgun that I have never heard anyone talk about?

I know it was never popular but it looks like a neat handgun and to me looks cool. Plus it is reasonably priced going for less than $500.
It is also on the Maryland Handgun Roster.

Here is a photo of it:

And this guy did a positive review of one:

    Any thoughts? Opinions?

I really wanted this gun at one time. It's originally designed by Browning and copied by many, probably most popular the CZ75.

Coolest part of the Browning BDM is that with the turn of a screw, you can convert it from a Single Action to a Double Action, slick eh?

Lots of history in that gun.

The BDM was a unique Browning ( the company , not John M. ) design , not a descendent of CZ-75 . CZ did closely copy grip shape of P35 . As I read the reviews at the time , when in the otherwise DAO mode , the hammer could be thumb cocked like a DA revolver.

I owned one...They came to be during the black point of history we refer to as the AWB.
I could never find a magazine over 10 rounds for mine.
That combined with a crap finish that would rust if you looked at it hard I had to get rid of mine.
I was just never impressed with the thing but who knows; it may become one of those strange things collectors want in40 years.

I have worked on a few of these and I have to say I think some one was doing bong hits with this idea. I love all that is browning and browing like but this gun and the a500 I like to think of as things that should of been left in the browing closet.
