I am looking into getting a new a handgun for my wife in 9mm. or .40 with a easy pullback on the slide. I know H&K's are nice like this, but they are also hard to come by theses days and are expensive. Are there any similar to the H&K's, but not so pricey. I have tested these already Glock/no, Springfiled/no

I have why do think I know about the Glock and Springfield not working out lol. It is just kind of hard to walk into a gun store today that has a lot of variety on their shelves. Trust she will make the final say about her gun.

Go to FreeState with the lady and rent a Glock, Sig, M&P, Ruger and whatever else they have that you think she'd like. Shoot 'em all and let her pick the one she's comfy with.

I agree. If it's to be a self-defense tool I recommend the biggest caliber she can handle comfortably.

But remember, a hit with a .22 is better than a miss with a .44.

Largest caliber she can handle COMPETENTLY.

Has she ever tried a 1911 45acp? Don't assume just because someone is a woman they can't handle a 45. I think a 45 is much more manageable than a 40 and love the feel of the 1911. My first purchase was a Kimber ultra carrie 2 elite 45. I love my 45.
