I'll compare it to the F35, it can fulfill the role of a number of others, and do most everything better, but if your military already has F18, F15, F16, and F22, can you really justify keeping them and adding a F35?
personally, i have never found it difficult to justify getting another gun.

P30 is an incredible firearm, but not quite the magic of the VP9.

The VP9 is like the P30 - but evolved.

There is no better 9mm pistol today than the HK VP9, it wins in all catagories.

If I could own only one pistol, a compact one in Sig .357 would be it.

    FTFY :D

Last year, I went into the lgs to buy a P30, cash in hand. Dry fired it and got something else. The VP9 is the P30 with all of the necessary improvements.

I picked some up at the Chantilly show. FYI the use the same mag as the P30.

Yep, I found that out when I first bought he gun. I had picked it up but hadn't retrieved the mags from PA yet. Went to my FreeState and asked if they might have a vp9 rental. Of course they didn't but they had a p30, and lo and behold they fit :D

Handled one, loved it, but not enough to justify another full size pistol. Word is a 45 and SK version are due out soon, will probably buy the SK soon as it hits the shelves, should be about the size of a GLOCK 26, and share the P30SK's 10 rd mags with the ability to use the full size 15rd mags too.

How does the VP9 compare to the PPQ? Has anybody shot both?

I shot a ppq with a 5" barrel so it wasn't a direct comparison. I still think the hk feels better in my hand, which is totally a subjective thing. I also like the hk sights better.
