Hey Brendan....you know I will!!! Here is my plan:

As soon as I know how many MOD 64 there are I will ask for 30. I have only been promised 20 BUT if I tell them I have 30 INTERESTED i'm hoping SOSS will give me 30!! IF that is the case, those on STand By will move up to YIPPIE group!


Its just TOO TOO far away before I start asking for anyone to send $$. Besides I don't really want to hold on to them in the event something goes wrong. Once I get a prosective arrival date to Ohio, I'll set up USPS MO payments and CC payments up.

Again, if anyone wants out just post it on THIS THREAD and I will update it.

I walked out of the Gunshop today!!!!!




















With my Model 10 at about 1500 hrs. Can't wait to get to the range with it. My wife even liked the way it feels. I bought the holster from the Gun Shop aslo, they had em for 5 bucks and they had plenty when I was there before. They are new leather and look great. Now I gotta get some speed loaders and and black leather holders to match.

Terry himself handled the paper work coming and going and it was a speedy process, thanks Terry. Wes called me on Wednesday night to let me know I could pick it up Friday.

OK, since I'm so totally new, I'd like to ask a few questions, please.

I assume that what is being sold here are police reconditioned revolvers, is that correct?

Since I am green as grass, I really don't know who the maker is. Is it Smith and Wesson? Are these handguns recommended for home defense?

As you may remember, I am looking for a revolver, something like a .38 special, myself.

Has the second group been processed? Are there any slots open?

It's at this point in the thread, all the fence sitters are going to be kicking themselves for not getting in sooner after seeing all these nice weapons.
(myself included) but I still have hope !!!

I wouldn't say reconditioned. They are used revolvers from a PD or Correctional System. They will have holster wear as can be seen. They should have plenty of life left in them and are great shooters. They also are great home defense guns. I was issued one when I joined the PD in 1982. Still remember the serial number D755790. Loved that gun. I doubt anyone will be disappointed unless finish wear is an issue for you. Those that got in on this congrats and enjoy.
