Inlaws got me a .50 Traditions BP rifle last year for X-mas. Finally got it out today to sight it in. Open sights at my house i was shooting at my mini range(25 yards) got it 1 inch high and shooting 3 shot clover leafs.

Shooting pyrodex pellets, .44 cal 275 core-lokt sabots.
Trigger is a little mushy but overall is pleasnt to shoot for a intro-rifle. Just cant stand the way the american arms have gone with the plastic stocks:tdown: Ive herd that it helps in the accuracy dept.

But im sure the real reason why they went the plastic route was it was cheaper for them and charge the same price!

i have an old rem 700 ml i got when the inlines first came out . it handles the same as a rem 700 short action (balance, lines, etc) i shoot very well with this rifle and will never part with it . congrats on the traditions i bought my wife one a couple of years agao and it was a shooter and a good rifle for the price.

i beleve mine is a 1:32 barrel. Putting in for my time off today for the 3 day hunt in oct 18-20. I also see that they are going to have a doe only the following week .

Will take a couple of days for rifle and maybe a couple for Late BP in dec.

I prefer to hunt when its cold, but to bad it doesnt get cold here till after deer gun seasons.

Already bagged 2 squirrels already with the 597. Will have to makes some squirrel pot pie. (Wife wont touch it) When I get 2-3 more.
