Does anyone have any advice on this? I just purchased a model 70 in 30 06 I have a ton of once fired nickel plated winchester 270 brass I picked up from a friend who doesnt reload. I cant stand to "waste" any brass or empty shells. Any way is there any problem with simply necking the 270 to 308. Idony care about the headstamp because I dony own a 270 and dony plan on it. Thanks for your opinions

My advise would be to trade the 270 (somewhat scarce) brass for 30-06 (somewhat easy to come by).

    +1 for trading

The nickel plating on that brass will make it much harder to resize up to 30-06. Nickel plating is pretty, but that little bit of plating can be difficult to work around.
