Form 1 Disapproved. State Law?

Got a paper form 1 back disapproved. Ted Cutter decided to turn it down due to "State law" with the "AR15" under model type circled.

Tried to register a 10.5 in barrel/ 30.5" OAL AR. Ive registered plenty of other ARs and recently even got a form 1 suppressor build back.

Tried getting in touch with him at the branch office a few times but never had calls returned. Going to resubmit the form 1 through e forms.

What gives?

What is the disapproval date on the Form 1?

This is starting to feel like a war of attrition.

Disapproved Dec 7th 2014.

Past 3 forms (all e-filed):

AR15 SBR - Approved 8/13/14
10/22 SBR - Approved 11/30/14
Suppressor Home Build - Approved 1/22/15

So this is not recent/this year , just curious. Is it possible this could actually clear up any day or any week well or any month??

They're definitely sitting on applications while they sort this out. My Form 1 (11.5" AR SBR) has been with them for about 2 and a half months now.

It started in November when some of the NFA examiners changed and the ATF legal council re-reviewed MD gun laws.

Yes, I followed that thread as well, good to hear they are sitting on them, I thought the op just got a disapproved back and that would be disappointing. I have one waiting also.
I know you have a lot of time in this fisherbob and thanks for that.

As I stated in another thread, he rejected my Form 4s despite my having pre-Oct 1 2013 Purchase Orders AND all my items being on the Maryland handgun Roster.

Neither my call nor email to him have been returned.

Yep. They suddenly decided that they needed more clarification on state law. There's a huge thread on the topic in this area.
