I DQ the M2 for one reason. I REALLY like Federal's low recoil buckshot and I've heard too many reports of issues with FTF/ FTE with that combination.

If you want some more fondling time on an SLP, we have one on the wall.

Thanks Nate, Andy told me about that one but I really wanted the tactical. Picked it up yesterday.

So what was the deciding factor(s) in getting the FN?

This may sound dumb, but the Remington was always a secondary choice for me. I could put a Mesa Tac stock on it, I could put ghost rings on it, but I'd still have a shotgun with a 22" barrel. Being a short guy with short arms and no desire to shoot competitions that just doesn't work for me. Remington REALLY needs to get the R12 to the civilian market in numbers.

I've shot the 1301 last week. Nice shotgun in a short package. It has the beretta blitz gas system. Quick action, good trigger. But kicks heavier compared to others. If it comes with a 7 shot tube. I'll get one as well.

Did you shoot the "Tactical"? My plan is the get the 21" Competition model w/ a tube extender. I'll run that as one of my HD guns and use the chokes to use in competitions.

I can tell you my VM ate everything I fed it for the little I shot it. Still for sale in the classifieds btw. ;)
