I was thinking of getting a Maryland flag and doing precisely that! But I doubt half the poeple around here would be able to notice the difference.
    :(

    Funny you should mention that...

Every time I go to Annapolis, I point out to folks that about a quarter of the flags lining Bladen Street are assembled upside-down!! Way to go, DGS! Way to hold those suppliers accountable!

I would prefer to just fly the American flag upside down. Especially since 4/4/13. It is quite appropriate, but I wonder if it would be disrespectful to fly it that way through 2016. Or at least 2014 (hopefully).

What I really want is a t-shirt with this quote, krrpng in mind the tree of liberty concept: "Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats." - HL Mencken

By my observation; flying the American flag upside-down can bring out negative reactions from some on our own side. They (especially current and ex-military who fought for it, and saw friends die for it) see it as a huge sign of disrespect.

The Gadsden, OTOH, brings people together who share like-mindedness, and arouses curiosity in "fence sitters".

The goal is to bring people together. Not create contention and disagreement within our own ranks.

I guess this is one time when I wish my house was visible from the street. If it was i'd go with one of these three in addition to the Gadsden flag

Betsy Ross, Bennington, and the Moultrie flag

I've had mine up since Obama started crusading right after sandy hook. Long before O'Malley jumped on the bandwagon using all of daddy O's terminology.

I've got a Gadsden garden flag hanging right beneath an oversized Betsy Ross flag.

Me and my Son at the obamacare protest in 2009. The Gadsden has been flying in front of my house in Severna Park since November 8th 2008. Two others have gone up around the corner from me since.
