I currently use mostly Alliant powder (blue dot and unique) and some Hodgdon/IMR (H110 and 800-x) for my handgun loads but I keep hearing about Accurate Arms powder. I mostly load .40, 10mm, and .357 mag. What are you're experiences with them?

Never used Accurate. All Hodgdon here. H4350, HS6, H110, & Clays.

Titegroup, W231, and Unique are what I use most. I use the Titegroup for my subsonic 147gr 9mm loads, and W231 and Unique for 185gr and 230gr 45acp loads. Once I finish off the remaining 1lb of Unique I have I'll be sticking with Titegroup and W231 as my go-to powders.

In answer to the direct question , Acc Arms are decent powders. Lots of published data , and I understand they are good about providing additional info/ data .

In particular AA9 is an interesting aproach to a * magnum pistol * powder. Lots of flexability , in many loads less muzzle blast than comparable loads.

Use Accurate #2 for .45 Auto, 9mm Luger and 7.62x25.
Not the cleanest burning but have had good results in all three calibers.

Because of this state's crappy and dangerous restriction on possession of amounts of smokeless powder greater than 5lbs, I choose powders that cover the widest range of applications such as IMR 4064.

    For 9mm; .40 S&W; .45 acp = W231.
    For .357 Magnum and .44 Magnum = Unique; 2400.
    For .223/5.56x45mm = H335.
    For .308/7.62x51mm = W748; H-4895.
    For .30-'06 Sprinfield = H4895; W-748.
    For .45-70 Gov't = RL-7.
Which reminds me. . . . the .45-70 Government is truly the only Government that I really trust.:D

    12 Gauge = Red Dot.

Hypothetically speaking, if you wanted to reload for .380, 9x18 Mak, 9mm Luger, and .45 auto, and needed to use just one powder (thanks to Maryland's stupid 5 lb. restriction), what powder would you use?

Id would look in a manual- and see what powder is shown for all of those. That being said, Id be willing to bet Win 231 would be shown for all those rounds. Ive had great luck with W231 in 45 auto. Burns clean, low flash, and commonly sold anywhere that carries powders.

Titegroup works well for all of those. Bit dirty with cast lead bullets.

    Titegroup for my .45ACP.

    H335 for my .223/5.56.

    H110 for 300BLK.

I tend to stick with what works for me these days, and the above 3 have done right by me so far.

Unique would probably be the closest to being common to those rounds, with Titegroup and HP38/Win231 coming in a close second. I wouldn't do it, though.
