I am looking at buy the liberty fatboy jr, I was wondering if it is true that the door is so heavy that it can tip the safe when you open it? The reason I ask is I'm not sure that I want to bolt my safe down in my garage. Also is there a cutout in back for an electrical pass through? Thanks guys!

What is your concern with the bolt down? I would bolt down to prevent the intentional tip over for easier pry attacks. Heck, or to slow down someone who wants to pull up with a truck, three guys, and an appliance dolly to roll away your prizes.

As for the safe, if you can afford it, Liberty makes much nicer models for not much more. Just depends on what your need is, e.g. fire protection, theft, keeping the kids out, etc. It's always better to go bigger than you think you need.

I'm just not sure I want to drill into the slab for the safe, we plan on selling the house in the furure and I am not sure I want to have to unbolt and patch it. What larger safe would you reccomend from Liberty? I want to stay with the dial lock since this is my second safe I out grew the one I bought 3 years ago.

If I was buying your house I would not be worrying about 4 holes in the garage floor and I don't think many other people would be.

I have the fatboy jr and love it, I did not bolt it down and it has yet to tip over or even make me think it would. It does have a cut out for electeic they also sell the kit to go in that hole for like $20-30 cant remember exact price. I have had mine going on 1 1/2-2yrs now with no issues. I also went with the dial lock. Good deal i paid about $1300 for mine and it came with curbside delivery and electric kit and dehumidifier.
