I figure I'd put this in MD 2A issues board since in this state, the family would be locked up while some pity the dirtbag and I find that to be an issue.

The family of 29 year old Bethany Arceneaux decided to take matters into their own hands after Lafayette Police in Louisiana failed to rescue her. They stormed the kidnapper's home as he was stabbing Bethany. They exchanged gunfire resulting in the death of the kidnapper and the rescue of Bethany.

According to KATC, "Thomas and Arceneaux have a violent history well documented in police records. Not only did Arceneaux file several reports, documenting alleged abuse by her ex-boyfriend, Scott Thomas, she also filed a restraining order against him."

Once again, folks cannot rely on paper for protection.

Kudos to the family for doing what needed to be done.

It's a shame good endings like this one are never publicized because they arent on the liberal agenda.

Great news story that shows the importance of being armed and being able to protect one's self and one's family. Thanks for posting.

They should have waited for the police so the so-called attacker could be counseled and made a good member of a democratic society. I am sure he was just misguided and did not have the financial and educational support that he needed. If we would have provided him with a home, cell phone and a liveable wage ($2k-3k) he would have been a good member of society.

That's exactly correct! This story should be all over the news and never will be a national headline. People like Feinstein need to read this

I'm curious to know what kind of guns they had. If they had a ar15 than this story could help with the pending lawsuit here. My dealer is a plaintiff in the lawsuit and said they need stories of people using AR's in defense of life
