I was down HNP earlier today for the first time and as soon as I walk in, theirs a Walther P-38 from the war. I have searched high and low for one of these and finally found it. My question is, would it be ok to use factory new ammo in a gun that is most nearly 70 years old??

My understanding is that it is a good idea to replace a few small parts....springs and...ummmmm....there is some sort of pin that should be replaced on some models.

There are a couple P38 experts on here that will be by shortly to give you an intelligent answer.

I did a little more research, 115 or 124 should be good, if it's a 1944, you could have issues with commercial ammo (weak topcover)
