Wait...I thought the rifle range was closed until Jan 30, and then the pistol range was to close for repairs. Was I wrong?

So all ranges are now open?
Last I heard the rifle closed in November and was supposed to open 1/17. The pistol was then closing for renovation. That was quick on the pistol range if it's already opened.

    Legend in my own mind
The pistol range is scheduled to be open this weekend. All repairs have been completed. However because of the snow we just got, they will be making decisions sometime Friday as to if they will be open at all this weekend. In other words... the roads in there are a disaster.

    Just curious.
I haven't been to Elk Neck since just before the rifle range closed.
Anyone know what the repairs were to the ranges?

I think i'm going to wait a bit before I go there. I prefer to go on weekdays very very early when many people aren't likely to be there. That way I can call plenty of cease fires on my own.

All of the steel was replaced as was a majority of the wood on the baffles. In addition, a second shotgun platform was installed by a boy scout.

Duh...how long did you really think they would last without being used as a target?

Range Repairs to both areas came to nearly $40,000.00. New platform came to just under $2500.00.

Snow removal this season in excess of $9,000.00

When do the new restrooms get installed? Saw a posting somewhere they were in the works.
