The paint is actually fairly cheap. Keep in mind that almost all of the cost is related to labor. I can paint and 2 firearms with DC for about 25-30$. It's fairly easy to work with and very forgiving to use compared to other sprayable finishes but must be sprayed out of an airbrush or professional spray equipment like whats used on automotive finishes. It's actually very similar to an Automotive Epoxy sealer I used on a regualr basis about 10 years ago. It's very tough and durable.

Looking great Bill. I can' stop looking at it. The coating is so smooth and even it is much, much better than the original. 6 to 8 more weeks of curing in storage and this should be perfect. The AK will end up sporting a BP02 and a PK-23-01 Collimating Red Dot Scope. Thanks again.

You're welcome! Just as a reminder, your AK is ready to shoot now, however Duracoat completely cures after 3 weeks.

    Enjoy and shoot safetly!!

Got off the phone with Tim. He wants $295 for my 870, regualar black , and $250 for my 92fs. Is that normal or outrageous? If Scotts does it, Ide rather give the business to him. I feel like freedom is trying to rip me off.

I would say he's smokin crack...

I had my Sig P226 West German Cera- Hide for 139.00 and It's sweet.
