DPMS Upper

Hey all, I'm new to the forum, been lurking for a couple weeks.

I have a question for anyone with any experience with DPMS uppers. I got the upper from midway (havent fired it yet) and something seems to be wrong with the ejection port cover. It wont close with light pressure like most do. The only way I can get it to close is put some pressure on the bead with a screwdriver while shutting it. It sems as if the bead is too high.

Has anyone else had this problem? Any recommendations on how to fix it?

Have you tried putting a little oil on the ball?

Yeah, tried some dri-lube and a little wd-40. No luck.
