    Seems like the Italians came up with a more modern way of hitting birds way out there. Instead of a single shot cup they are using a system of two cups, one of them inverted, that is supposed to keep part of the shot column together up to 80m and then disperse. The idea is to form a second shot pattern in the distance and thus have a chance to hit something.

    Now, I don't know if it works reliably or not but would be interesting to test. Info can be found here if you click it but I don't see any distributors in the US.
