The new Desert Tech MDRX 308 20” barrel
With a primary Arms ACSS HUD DMR OPMOD scope works really well with the

Federal Gold medal match 175smk or 168SMK
Lake city m118 LR 175 SMK

The BDC lines up well with these loads all the way up to about 1000 yards. It’s quick and requires almost no math.

The platform is really growing on me. I’m shooting it more compared to my M1As

Beautiful SCAR. I'm not much of a bullpup guy. Most feel like shooting a gun made out of a shoe box, but that looks all right.

How’s the glass? Is it a 1000 yard scope?

The glass is decent. For a budget optic.
It’s good enough for man sized targets up to 1000 yards.

I was able to hit 18” gongs up to 800. But that’s the farthest distance the private range extended to. I think, with a little more trigger time, it can reach out to 1k.

It’s like an acog with a 14x magnification.

Compared to the leatherwood ART m1200 xlr.
The acss is faster once it’s dialed in and used with the right loads.

It’s also very short and much lighter than the m1a. But with similar capabilities.

With a fully loaded mag, optics and doodads. It’s only 13.5 lbs.

It’s okay for a space gun. Much more accurate than the Tavor7. Shoots around .88 MOA. It may do better with an improved match trigger.

    The trigger is also good ( for a bullpup) and it’s fully modular ( 6.5cm, 300blk, 5.56, 308)

    Just an update.

The 20” mdrx , pa acss hud scope and m118LR match ammo equates to an ideal set-up for A DMR.

The BDC markings on the reticle lines up almost perfectly with the m118LR ballistics. Resulting in quick range determination and holdovers. Without math and turret adjustments.

Have you had any unusually high recoil? Before mine used to shoot reasonably pleasant for a 308 rifle. One day the recoil just started feeling like I was shooting 12ga buckshot/slugs. If I turn the gas down one setting it just starts jamming.
