****I learned about it in school many years ago and I distinctly remember the professor using THIS amendment as an example of why the CONUS is out dated and how certain presidents (and hero of the left..the guy who helped put Japanese AMERICANS into camps during WW2..) like FDR tried but failed to pass a 2nd bill of rights.

Even decades back, liberal teachers where spewing this type of pablum to kids - while NOT mentioning or glossing over the reasons behind Federalism, states rights, and the purpose of the bill of rights as to what the government COULDN'T do to you.
