    For those of us that hunt in that area, we are prohibited from transporting carcasses outside the CWDMA, what are your plans for the deer?

    I am looking for a processor within in the CWDMA, any recommendations?

    Thanks

    These are the exceptions to transporting (number 3 specifically);

    Antlers with no meat or soft tissue attached;
    Cleaned hide with no head attached;
    Deer being transported directly to meat processors, taxidermists or landfills;
    Finished taxidermy mounts or tanned hides;
    Hind quarters and front shoulders with no spinal column or backbone attached;
    Meat with no part of the spinal column, backbone or head attached; and,
    Skull plate cleaned of all meat and brain tissue.

    Skin it, quarter it, and pull the backstraps. You could be done in well under an hour and then you can do what you want with it.

    Page 25: whole deer carcasses or parts being transported directly to the meat processors and taxidermists listed here or on the DNR website, or to lined landfills within Allegany County or Wash County.

    Thought that meant within those two county's. Until I reread the EXCEPT FOR

    These are the people I have used for years. Great work and low prices.

    Added to my address book, thanks.

    When you are done quartering, the waste must be moved to a lined landfill within those two counties.
