Old school and a great way to blow up a gun. The tube can get stuck in the bbl, with only the shot and wad going downrange. That's a bbl obstruction. Next shell = BOOM! Stupid.

Wax slugs are also quite interesting and effective and probably safer than cut shells.
Regular shotgun slugs are expensive, with cut shells and wax slugs you can save a lot of money and have the same amount of fun.
