Not needed. Retired military with ID and mostly only interested in C&R guns anyway. Of course I haven't tried to buy anything since October 1, so don't know yet if the dealers will recognize the exemptions.

No F*ing way, I will either wait till this crap is thrown out or move to VA before I bow down and get a HQL. Hell, I went to look at the MSP HQL website and the damn site has has an invalid security certificate. What a joke!

All right guys and gals, we all don't like the HQL so please keep the chatter in this forum to a minimum. There are many other threads to bash the website, process, or to ask questions.

    Thanks in advance!

No. Waiting to hear from lawyers since I purchased pre-Oct 1 and should not require HQL to pick up my property.

    Handgun License

My wife and I applied for our HQL's on October 3. I looked online today (October 10) and my license was already issued. My license number was 000461.

It was relatively painless. Prints and applications came to about $100 each.

You might want to hit "edit" and remove the lic number. Like it or not, that number is now part of your personal identifying information. No sense broadcasting.

Went active less than 24 hrs after application was submitted. The fix, apparently, is in.

Ditto - applied yesterday @4pm just checked and have an HQL that expires 10/14/2023.

Gotta say the HQL process is a lot smother than OBAMACARE. Wonder how many people signed up for that in MD?:D
