I think this is a smart idea for Colt. How many people buy a 6920 just to tear off the handguard/stock and replace with something else

Nice, great base for a clone (or anything else for that matter).

A2 grip usually ends up in the spare parts bin too. Probably just included to hold the safety detent and spring.

Good question. Pretty sure it would be a rifle but who knows. Has a rifle buffer and not a pistol so i would think it's a rifle.

Yeah, I'm sticking with handgun federally. Not designed to be fired from the shoulder, and only designed to be fired using one hand. Add a stock and it's a rifle. Add a vfg and it's an Other.
