Designate (with a notarized letter) stu929 to act as your purchasing agent on his next trip to CMP Ohio; thus, you'll end up with exactly the combination of M-1 features, accessories, and ammunition that you want.

His fee is pretty reasonable. . . .

Right now about 50/50. There was a few months everything was wearing cmp wood then usgi started to come back. Then just this week seems like cmp wood is back.

In general I would say 50/50 its not the end of the world. The cmp stocks need work but you are almost granteed to get a good shooter as the stocks all lock up nice and tight. Plus I have heard a lot of the newer stocks are cut a little better.

check cmp (civilian marksmanship program) they have just about everything youll need for your m1. including original stocks. just have to check back with em every now and again. they reproduce them as well i believe made from walnut just like the gi originals
