    I use a light stand. Light weight, cheap, and very compact. It's bottom-heavy, so it's less likely to tip over.

    I use the same for all the same reasons, plus I had one laying around. They work great.

    Thanks for the tip! I don't think I would have thought of a light stand. It seems like a no brainer looking at the picture. I've been using camera stands but they never seem to work well.
