I went to one in Frederick last year. It had a good turnout and was good to discuss the 281 and strategies to fight it.

I'm in as long as I don't have something work or family related. Location is not as important to me. Personally I would prefer to stay out of DC but would if the group decides that's the venue.

Bethesda* seems ideal. Right out of DC and ready access to 270 and 495... Within 20-30 min of everyone in the region. Lots of good places there.

    * my residence in Bethesda has nothing to do with my suggestion... :)

That's why I was thinking Glen Echo. The fact that I live in Bethesda had a lot to do with my suggestion :innocent0.

Parking and traffic for those of us that don't live there- isn't ideal.

There is a huge parking lot right behind the Capital Grille in Bethesda as well as underground parking for that shopping center. The Grille is a wee bit expensive for most folks, but there are a lot of other great places with in easy walking distance from that lot. Just a suggestion…….

Urbana has a new park right off 270.
Its somewhat neutral where both yuppies, hippies, wanna be frednecks, and real red necks may gather. Its just north of MoCo, and close enough to being in somewhat open country.

If we do an event in Bethesda, I personally know the part owner of Hardtimes Cafe that happens to be conservative, loves Veterans, and is a damn hardworking, original Bethesdian, def not a yuppie. They have a metered parking garage directly across the street, group dining area at the front of the entrance. They have the best fried then grilled wings, burgers, and good choice of chili!

Or this may have to be split event

Frederick separate from the rest of the Cap region.

greenbelt is a little far from moco........

It's a Capital Region meeting, so any place within ~10 miles of DC is about right.

Greenbelt sounds like a dangerous area for a bbq...:innocent0

I don't know about Greenbelt, but the Park is very out of the way and nice.

After all, it's an MDShooters meet up - therefore inherently quite safe. :)

Never heard of the place, but that could work for me, time allowing.

Same here, I'll try to attend anywhere.
