For the angle, if type & size of steel is not critical, I've built plenty of small projects using recycled bed frames, free for the taking in most cases.

A couple come that come to mind are Durrett Shephard in east Baltimore and Interstate Steel on Cherry Hill Ave.

I too will keep this thread in mind. I'm kicking around the idea of rebuilding my Punkin Chunkin machine out of steel tubing for next years competition. Probably something like 2x2 or bigger but I only knew of Boulevard sales up to know.

Found them. EJ enterprises. Website says the don't sell regular steel. Just stainless.

I just emailed them on a related matter and got this reply:

"Sad to say... E-J Enterprises closed it's doors on June 6, 2014.
If you need metals, can we suggest Yarde Metals.
If you are in PA., MD or No. VA call

E-J closing bummed me out. Bought a ton of stuff from them over the years. The guy who ran their "Metals To Go" section, Russ, is a great guy.

Bought from them even though BMG is literally the next street over from my shop, they just always treated me right.

Dang. I was going to stop by there on my way home today.

Anyone have experience with these guys? It looks like they have an office just south of where EJ used to be.

Not in the same area, but Moxley's in Harfrod County has a good selection. And can cut and bend to what you need.

Also a good place for welding supplies and gases.

Boulevard Steel is nice, however they keep a lot of their materials outside so expect to do a lot of wire brushing and surface prep.
