    After the last thread about building target stands, I worked out a rough design for a swinging /moving target.

    Pull the string and dislodge the prop-rod holding up the weight.
    Target swings freely.

    Look out, he has a Glock! :gun2:

    Just dont hit the hostage in front. :nono:

    Thanks guys!

    Used the base from a gum-ball vending machine.
    The pivot point is 2 bearings with a bolt through them.

    Welded the target frame to accept 1x3 furring strips and made it 18" wide to accept standard IPSC-style silhouettes.

    Used a barbell disc as a weight, fastened with a bolt.
    The prop-rod is a 36" piece of pvc with a string tied to it.

    It's a little tall,
    I'm going to replace the 30" threaded pipe in the base/stand with a 24" threaded pipe.

    Like this one! Got some silhouettes, just need a "bad guy" target or two or three or four...then, let's shoot! We forgot about July and August...September is here, now!
