The answer is yes. They also have 40 and 380 HD ammo. About 7 boxes of 9mm and 2 or 3 of the others.

    Hornady Critical Defense.

Not Federal, but Severn had plenty of Winchester yesterday.

What's a good price for 12 ga bulk packs? That's something I haven't stocked up on yet.

No such thing as a good price on Shotgun shells anymore. I believe these bulk backs were $25.99 plus tax. That is nearly $7 per box. A year ago they had 8 box flats for $44 out the door.

Reloading your own is not as easy as it once was. I reload for 12ga and 28ga and I buy bulk 12ga when I can find it and save the components for loading the 28ga. Components are more expensive and harder to find.

Prices have gone up to where my cost is $5.26 a box not counting hulls and the gas it cost to drive to Shyda's and back. :sad20:

While it is still cost effective to load for 28ga, buying bulk 12ga even at $7 a box is still worth it in my opinion.

$5.26 a box seems a bit high, especially if you are driving to Shydas and I assume buying components in bulk. You must be using premium components that go into premium shells which now are upwards of $8 - $9 box. I would say $5 is a bargain for those.

I load shells that are comparable to Walmart shells for $4.35 using new lead and about $3.50 using reclaimed. Granted, I am using claybuster wads, fiocchi primers, and promo powder. All the cheapest of the cheap, but I imagine it is comparable to the Walmart components and I bust them clays just as well as most of those using premium stuff.

For 16yd trap or skeet, just about anything will work. For shooting Lehigh Valley Sporting Clays advanced stages, you better make loads that will shoot loooong range.

I don't just drive up to Shyda's though, we make it an overnight trip and take train rides in Lancaster, eat at some good places and take in the scenery. ;)
