    Buyer beware with that outfit

Chiappa, or Mid West Thunder Outlet?

If it's the retailer that's the issue SOG has the same upper for $279, and SOG is very reputable. But they are a wholesaler, of course any body with a C&R can get an account with them (I have one). And uppers are just parts, so anybody with a C&R could order it for you. ;) (If you need help along those lines just ask.)

    Whats the shipping from SOG?

    Mid West Hunters Outlet

Rodger that thanks for the heads up, it looks like I can get it straight from Chiappa for $300 shipped.
I was about to buy a semi auto 22lr the other day and just thought about looking these up, pretty sweet setup.

Eh... I've ordered through MWHO before. It wasn't a great experience, but the gear came in the end. I agree, though, that SOG would be a better bet.

I think you could sporterize a 10/22 for about the same price as this; on the other hand, if you've got a lot invested in an AR-15 lower, you may very well want to leverage that. *shrugs*
