I have an AR-15 A2 style rifle with standard sights...

The rear sight is turned slightly to the right (when behind the sights as shooting )...is there any way to correct this or do I need to live with it or get a new rear sight?

If it's the L-shaped flip peep, it can be replaced. It runs along a threaded screw type device attached to the windage knob.

I've seen some horribly threaded peeps.

Peep holes drilled off center too.

All of this was during the mad rush when companies were cranking out ARs as fast as they could make them.

It's part of the design. The spring tensions it that way.

If you really wanted to, you could have it drilled and pinned like on the National Match AR's. People don't generally do it to standard AR sights though, just match guns.

Hmmm...if I want to pin it like that pic...I am assuming I should upgrade to the match sights first...make sense rather than use the stock sights for that....

The A2 peep is designed to be directly in the centerline of the sight assembly, so even if it is twisted a bit, the peep is still in alignment. Not very aesthetically pleasing, but functional.

Yes, unless this is a serious match rifle, don't bother. It will shoot fine and straight
