Recently it was passed along to me that The owner "Big John" has passed at the age of 60. He sold the buisness when it became "liberty guns" in the late 90s to a man named Cliff of no family relation.

The "wake" is at Brinsfield Echols funeral home in charlotte hall md from 2-4 and 6-8pm october 5th and burial october 6th. any questions you can pm me or contact the funeral home directly. Thanks and god bless.

I do remember, was talking about it the other day.
You couldn't miss the armored personal carrier out front.
Sorry to hear of his passing.

    I remember John, well.

The original shop was located in the spot where the AutoZone is now, on Rte. 5/Leonardtown Rd. (Was next door to the Ice Plant.)

Then, he moved the shop over to the small strip mall on Rte.301 near where the Italian Tailor is now (might be the same location), near the tobacco shop.

I bought my first 1911-A1 from John. (Colt Gov't. Mdl.)

I became good friends with one of his part-time guys, who became the Deputy Chief Fire Marshal, for MD.

John's Mom has been fighting the Big C for a while, now. She may have lost her battle with it, by now. (Not sure.)

    Rest in Peace, John.
