Been keeping an eye on the storm for the past few days. At first thought it was nothing but now it seems that meteorologists are predicting a 90% chance of a direct hit on our area (mid-Atlantic).

Not to be a fear monger but I think I'm gonna start stacking up on water and candles, If we have a repeat of the storm we had in late June my area will probably be out of power for a week or so. Already have food covered. Just curious as to whether anybody else is going to be keeping track of this storm.

yeah a direct hit would suck. but if so bring on the snow, but that wont happen.

I've heard several different things regarding the snow. They're saying if we get a direct hit it will just bring the rain, wind, and possibly tornados. But if it hits us a little further north that it would be ideal conditions for another "snowmageddon"

mshilto89... Sometimes this forums acts as an unfamiliar bar that you have just walked through the door.. All the seniors sitting enjoying their beverages quickly turn and give you their best stink eye dirty harry impression.. Stay close to the wall and circle widely as you order a drink then blend in... LOL

i am in the guard and i just got an email a few minutes ago. official form the military and the national hurricane center NHC. here is what just part of it said.

"A gradual weakening is forecast over the next 48 hours.
The National Hurricane Center (NHC) currently forecasts a 10% probability that tropical storm winds impact Maryland and would occur on or about Tuesday 29 October."
