Police are combing through images from the extensive camera network downtown and say the area is safe, despite this attack and the beating of a tourist earlier this year that was caught on video and got attention nationwide.

I was considering taking up Aikido again at Baltimore Akido in Federal hill....Think I will be pass until I can carry in downtown.(Which does not look to be anytime soon).

This city or any city they could have 10 shootings every day and for good PR they will tell you the city is safe.

We live in the city and have never felt any more unsafe here than any other large city we have visited. Situational awareness helps.
