I know I do not need to return my bound book. Do I even need to return the form with the 'nor renewing' box checked? Or is that only for businesses?

At the least it'd be a courtesy to return it to let them know you aren't renewing so they can close your file. Not sure how much things have changed recently, but the last time my buddy came up for renewal about 4 years ago, he just basically let it lapse and didn't return anything and it was fine. When in doubt, I just call the licensing office up in Martinsburg. Great people to deal with.
