At Engage Armament in Rockville, which specializes in *combat-style rifles, co-owner Andrew Raymond said, “We’ve sold out of almost every AR-15 we have.”

He said guns that sold for $1,200 last week will soon be selling for $1,800.

The horrific shooting in Connecticut, he said, is likely “the straw that broke the camel’s back. This is going to be the battle flag of the gun-control crowd.”

He asked: “How much freedom do we really give up for security? It’s not just about guns, it’s about everything single thing we do.”

One of the authors is a customer of mine. (I generally refer to him as "Pravda") He is a decent sort, although despite his claims to the contrary, a wee bit left. (I know, and he works at the Post, Go Figure...) I reached out to him when I read the story here as I will not spend money on the Com-Post. I have yet to get a response, but I bet he is outta town for Christmas. I hope to have a pleasant chat with him, perhaps invite him to go shooting. He can be fairly open minded, and I want to push him from "Authorized Journalist" to actual investigative reporter. I have known this fellow long enough to think he might approach this with an open mind. Anyone have any suggestions on topics I should cover with him? Just want to be sure I have not missed any salient points.

    Thanks,
    Jesse in Rockville
