This is the first time I had seen a Hammerli for sale at this price. Even after possessing a Smith and Wesson model 41 I should buy this pistol.

I've shot hammerli pistols belonging to others and they were all of very high quality. I like the heft and grip angle of my high standard supermatic trophy a bit better but there's no denying that this is a smoking deal for a quality target pistol.

(I say this as I contemplate the acquisition of a 41......)

Huh. FWIW, PSA is also having a clearance on a version of this tack driver designated “IPSC” ($800 instead of the $700 in OP)

Each has separate Model, SKU and UPC #’s but, the appearance and description of each is to my eye identical.

Anyone ACTUALLY KNOW (as in not guessing) what the differences are?

And, as one of my requirements for purchasing any new firearm is purchasing NO FEWER than A DOZEN (more times than not it is TWO dozen - I am buying for future generations family as much as myself) spare mags for it, I have located spare mags for the X-ESSE. Lotsa mags (for this moment in history anyway): https://gun.deals/search/apachesolr_search/wal.2742990

The two different versions @ PSA have different sights, slides, and may have different triggers.
